Anima is a Turkish alternative rock band from Istanbul formed in 2000 by Ceylan Ertem, Ekin Cengizkan, Murat Çopur, and Tuncay Korkmaz. The group is particularly known for their covers on stage of artists / bands like Radiohead, Björk, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Jamiroquai.

Anima released its first and only album Animasal in 2006. Trumpet player Serkan Çiftçi has also contributed to the album by featuring in some of the tracks and taking part in the editing of sound effects. First single from their album Animasal was Joker, being also the first music video of the band. The second music video from the album was shot for El Kadar Bir Kız.

The band broke up upon agreement of all members in 2007. After break-up Serkan Çiftçi (trumpet), Ceylan Ertem (vocals), Ekin Cengizkan (drums), Murat Çopur (bass guitar) and Emre Ataker (keyboard) formed the band Friendly Fire, having influences from various genres such as funk, jazz and soul.
